Today, me and my good friend James went to the local stores to checkout some t-shirt printing shops. We also checkout some local stores near San Jose Recolletos University at manalili to check Grandsler T-shirt of how much it each cost. We'll the white t-shirt cost 70 Pesos while the colored once are 75 Pesos. It's much thicker and smoother compared to the cheaper brands, so we bought 3 black and white shirts as my first try on iron transfer printing.
Before we gone shopping for t-shirts, we have first visited a local ink printing shop to checkout iron transfer machine. We'll we've found out that it cost 16,000 Pesos which includes 10 iron transfer papers, wax paper and a training videos ( sent via email). We also bought a few iron transfer paper as testing to our first trial using Grandsler T-shirt. We've learn from the store owner a little bit about printers to use for iron transfer. He doesn't recommend epson t10, he explained why but we couldn't believe since other shops I know uses T10, infact they include this in their iron transfer express packages.
Later that day, we went to Sigma Modena Printing to checkout their printing products and works. We are really amazed of how many products they have which includes mug, t-shirt, caps, frames with prints. We've found out a new way to print by using a special type of transfer paper called dyesub (not quite sure with the spelling). These type of paper when heat pressed will produce a seamless print on the shirt, no traces of rubber. The attendant explained that these type of technique, the cotton absorbed the ink rather the usual adhesive type or printing such as the use on iron transfer paper.
Dyesub also produced a vibrant and smooth print when use on Dry Fit type of shirts - absolutely cool. Now we got the idea and I think we could just make this work on the first try. My friend James now also have the idea on how to come out with it in a much cheaper and lesser price. We're planning to print and sell to some few friends. Good Luck to us.
