The Largest Salt Water Crocodile Caught in the Philippines Sets A New Record on Guiness

Measuring 21.1 ft (6.4m) long and weighing 1,075kg (2,370lb), crocodile was caught alive in the Philippines that could possibly sets a new record in the Guiness Book of Record. The said crocodile was caught at Bunawan, Agusan del Sur, Agusan Marsh salt water, was considered to be the biggest crocodile in the world, this will have to be confirmed by wild life specialist.

Josefina de Leon, wildlife division chief of the environment ministry's protected areas and wildlife bureau, said it was likely to be the biggest crocodile ever captured.

"Based on existing records, the largest that had been captured previously was 5.48m (18ft) long," she told AFP.

The Agusan Marsh crocodile was said to have a mate which could possibly be a lot bigger than the one they caught said residence of the place. According to local residence, they have spotted numbers of small crocodiles in the salt water which possibly the result of the two crocodiles mating together.
