How to create an epic like movie trailer using Sony Vegas Pro the easy way

Do you have videos or pictures with your friends during your weekend of adventure? Would you like to create your own epic like movie trailer the easiest way ever? Checkout this video that I've recently created using Sony Vegas template by Deviletico. It's an epic like movie trailer template that suited for Sony Vegas video editor. It's absolutely easy and you can do it too. All you have to do is to change the original images in the template and replace it with your own videos or pictures, and also write your own text. Absolutely a no brainer thing. You can do it like I did.

What you need:

1. Sony Vegas Pro video editor
2. Epic movie trailer template - Download it here

Steps on how to start editing the template:

1. After you've downloaded the epic like sony vegas template. Extract the contents and copy the font file first and paste it on c:\windows\fonts

 

2. Next open the sony vegas project file.

 

3. Once you've loaded or opened up the project file, you can start replacing text and images. Here's how to replace the text first. Make sure that you change the font style to Bankgothic DB so that it would look cool.

Here's how to change the images with your own images or videos:

The way I change it is that I create a new layer above the image template so that I could match the exact length in the timeline.Checkout the screen shot below.

After you've created a new layer and placed your own videos or images, you may now delete the original image below it. You can do this technique on the rest of the images that you wish to replace.

You've noticed on my video that I've added a little lens flare effect which you'll not find in the template. What I did is that I'd created a new layer and placed a black background image then add a lens flare effect.

Here's how to add the lens flare effect on Sony Vegas in your black background:

1. Click the EVENT FX in the image.

2. Next double click on Lens Flare effect and click ok button.

3. On the Lens Flare properties, create a new keyframe as starting point then position the lens as where you want it to start. Once you've finish setting up your first keyframe, create a second keyframe at the end of the timeline of your image then change the position and other settings that you want to animate. Just play around with it to see the results.

Once you're satisfied with all of the settings, try to preview and see how it looks like.

Samsung Champ Philippine Mall Prices

Yesterday I went to SM City Cebu to checkout new prices of Samsung Champ C3303. I've visited seven mobile stores including Samsung Mobile Store which I was disappointed of their prices that is way above the others. I never thought they would have the highest price among the others.

Nonetheless below is the prices that I've noted with their corresponding stores:

Who knows, they might have shrink the price more.

Pros and Cons:

Pros:

• Great little thing
• Strong clip 
• Easy to use  
• Simple, multi-position switch on the top lets you play in order or shuffle. Voice over button is easy to use and works well.

• Looks good (see my notes about online photos at the bottom)

Cons:

• No hold function (really Apple?)

User review of Apple iPod shuffle 2GB Silver 4th generation

Hold switch: it's definitely going to be a problem, not enough to return it but enough to negatively affect day to day usage

Durability: the iPod took a hard fall directly on concrete, still works fine but the part where it hit the ground looks like it went through a car wreck

iTunes 10: the hype and hatred against iTunes 10 seems to be misplaced, it's just another update, however I still don't like having to update to use the new iPods

USB cord: would have been nice to stick with the old dock, the new cord is 3 inches long, usb on one side and 3.5mm stereo on the other, easily transported but easily lost, doesn't compliment a desk well

Applecare: I would have gotten Applecare would it have been $20, but at $30 it's approaching doubling the overall purchase price, it would most likely be best to hold off, and if you ever break it chances are the next iPod shuffle will be out by the time you do

Equalizer: still wish it was there, it could be easily set within iTunes. I will try and see if setting the equalizer of each individual song will help but when listening to the iPod in my car, and CD's burned using iTunes, the iPod songs have no mid range, the equalizer in the car was the same with each.

Pros: Loving the mic, now if I can't get a Verizon iPhone I can lose the BB, buy a MiFi, & use itwith Skype! Also like up to 64GB of data. That has the iPhone beat! My music alone runs 20GB, add in podcasts, books, TV & movies, & 64 GB is needed!

Cons: No flash and no back high res still camera is a problem, and it does need GPS, but those are the only problems I see. I LOVE my 3rd Gen and this is soooo much better!

To me that mic is a big deal. As is the storage capacity. I have the 64 GB 3rd gen Touch and it barely holds what I want on it now. The iPhone storage capacity is sadly lacking and this really is better than the iPhone in that respect! I checked out the Android, and it's nice, but not being able to sync iTunes to it kills it for me. The editors were right on target rating the new Touch!

I recently purchased an third-generation IPod Touch, and upgraded it to the 4.0.2 firmware, after the update, I noticed my battery life was decreasing quite rapidly. So I read some reviews and they stated that after other users upgraded to 4.0.2 they too where having battery woes. So finally 4.1 was released, and I hope the battery issue would be fixed. Unfortunately it was much worse. The battery would maybe only last 2 hours tops. Now I could have just been a defective battery, but seeing as that many people with the IPod 3G was having the same sort of issues, I thought it was best to return the IPod back to the store. The I bought this IPod. End of side story... on to the review.

HD Video Recording: I love the 720p video recording on this little device. And the fact you can upload directly to YouTube is a big plus.

Camera: To spite being low-res, I think the pictures you take with this IPod are amazing. Low-Light is a issue do to the lack of a flash or light, I wish they added that.. but I am sure it would put more of a strain on the battery.

Microphone: This mic can pick up sounds from far away, and it is great for all those fun apps you can download.

Fast: The IPod Touch 4G is by far the fastest I have every seen. Apps download at amazing speeds, load at even faster speeds, and the over all performance is amazing.

Long Battery Life: The battery life is a big deal to me, so I was beaming when I started to play around with this. I played for nearly 6 hours, taking videos, playing games, using the mic, and basically giving the IPod all it?s got and the lowest the battery has been was 41% and the varies from app to app.

Amazing Apps: I am able to download some great apps, now that this IPod has both a camera and built-in mic.

The only downsides to this IPod (if I had to pick) are there is no flash/light for low-light shooting, but then that would put lots of stress on the battery life.. so maybe it?s a good thing.

No GPS. It would be nice to take a picture somewhere and it state where the picture was taken, like it does on the IPhone.

All and all this is one amazing little device. Far better then any IPod in every way.

How to embed PICASA slideshow on Facebook FBML Page

I have previously posted here on how to embed your Flickr Slideshow to your Facebook FBML page. This time I'll show you how to you embed your PICASA slideshow on your Facebook FBML page. It is simple and easy to make it work. All you have to do is extract a few codes from your original PICASA slideshow codes then paste it to Facebook FBML codes. Sounds a bit confusing? Don't worry, I'll show you the step by step procedure in this tutorial. I'm sure you'll be able to follow.

Please make sure that you have created your own Facebook page before proceeding.

1. Login to your PICASA account.
2. Click on Link to this album. You find it at the right side of the page.

 3. Next click on Embed Slideshow to open PICASA slideshow code.

 4. Set slideshow options as you can see in the image below and then copy the entire code. You will have to paste it to your Notepad on the next step.

5. Paste the code to windows Notepad (Click Start button - Click Run - Type Notepad - Enter).

6. Next is to go to your Facebook FBML page and write the following code.

Note: it is not DOUBLE QUOTE but APOSTROPHE.

7. Next is to extract the codes from the previously pasted code on your Notepad. Checkout the screenshot below. Copy the code and later paste this one at a time to your FBML page.

8. Paste the codes on your FBML page. It should now look like the image below.

9. Next click SAVE button below. That's It!!!

How to put Flickr slideshow to your Facebook FBML page

After days of trying to figure out how to put my friends Flickr Slideshow to Facebook page using FBML static, I finally have got it work. It just need a little tweak on the sample code provided by other excellent facebook users (thanks to them).  I also had to make my own "Click to play image" to start the slides.

Do you like it?  The photos are absolutely stunning isn't it? Lito Inso is an international multi-awarded photographer at a very young age. Gifted and humble too.

Nevertheless, here's the entire code of Flickr Slideshow embedded on my Facebook FBML static page.

The values of FlASHVARS are copied from the original flickr slideshow. Change FLASHVARS if you wish to have your own flickr photos to stream on your own FBML page.

Where to find the FLASHVARS? Simply run flickr Slideshow and view page source. Then find code that looks like the one below:

The IMGSRC values should be change too with your own "Click to play image or button".

That's it, save your page and then view. It should work and will play your Flickr slideshow on your Facebook page using FBML.

Globe Broadband Internet Service: Are you getting what you paid for?

I can't help but to write here my feelings of disappointment and sadness over Globe Broadband's internet service. My experience with their service is probably what most Globe users are complaining all this time, intermittent and very slow connection, and worst sudden disconnection.

When I first subscribe to Globe Broadband's Internet Service, at first it works really fine and got the service that I need, but later after a few days of usage it started to get slower and intermittent connection. I phone my friend who works at Globe but neither him could help me out. There are been countless of times when their technical personnel could temporarily fix it but later after a day the problem  goes back again.  It seems that Globe Broadband internet service is hopeless on this matter.

I was forced to disconnect my Globe Broadband internet subscription and paid about 3,000 pesos as computed accordingly to its pre-termination fee. But not only I have been complaining with their service, I saw and heard lots of customers that were angry and furious about their service inside their office. But all customer staff would only tell you that they'll send you technical personnel to check your connection but you have to wait again.

I am paying the right amount every month but I'm not getting the right service that Globe Broadband should have provided me. It's unfair and I can't help but to feel disappointed with their service. I've switched to a different ISP provider and so far it works fine for me.
